Originaly built as a Coaching Inn in 1834 the hotel was extended in 1906 with further development in 1995. The hotel is a traditional Highland Country House style with modern facilities and a welcoming log fire in the entrance hall. There are 2 restaurants offering both Table d'hote and Ala Carte menus. 3 bars with a wide range of local and international beers, wines & spirits and a large Malt whisky collection.
There are a selection of dining options available at the hotel but the most enjoyable for guests will be in the main dining rooms where guests are piped into dinner. The hotel offers traditional Scottish fare with wholesome cuisine, surrounded in beautiful traditional decor.
Guests can also enjoy sitting by the roaring log fire in the Oak Lounge where you can put your feet up, de-frost and enjoy a soothing dram of the local scotch whiskey.
Overlooking the town's beautiful gardens and within minutes of the beautiful highlands of Scotland. Ample parking available for both cars and coaches. A 3 storey traditional building dating from the 1900's.
Kingussie is located north of Perth on the A9 Inverness Road. The London to Inverness Rail line is 400m from the hotel with trains running 4 times a day. City Link Coaches from London, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Inverness stop directly outside the hotel. Car hire can be arranged localy or with international companies ? Avis, Hertz, Europcar Etc.
All of the 58 rooms are traditionally furnished, medium in size and of a good standard.
